A Portland classic, the Wonder Ballroom was built in 1914 for the Ancient Order of Hibernians, before becoming (among other things) a Boxing school in the 40s. In 2004, it opened as a music venue and has been hosting epic performances of local and touring acts. The Wonder Ballroom's large auditorium is painted in "subtle, earthy tones" and is lit by a gothic-style chandelier and sconces. What was once the Hibernians' assembly room houses works by local artists. Come enjoy Old Portland glamour with the newest sounds.
