Ignite the year with a celebration of Portland’s world-class, independent music culture and empower our music creators to continue creating incredible sounds!
SAVE PORTLAND MUSIC!! Our treasured independent music culture makes Portland a place where people want to live, work, and visit. Our music scene endures because we support working musicians and creators we love by attending their shows and buying merch and music. “Free” streaming will not sustain our local scene.
If you can’t make it to the shows but still want to support Portland’s vibrant music culture, make a TAX-FREE donation to MusicOregon’s Echo Fund. Last year’s January event produced $60,000 to support local artists.

ECHO FUND - How will these funds be used?
Popular music has tactical needs that are different from many traditional art forms. Our independent musician empowerment grants are designed to support artists in the ways they need it — to pay for studio time, hire a producer, press a record, buy new gear, fund a tour, pay for publicity, and much more. This competitive grant program is designed to support the real needs of independent working musicians so they can continue inspiring us with their creations and keep Portland the amazing musical city that it is.
